Pilot projects Phase I (2016-2018) - BUILD_ME

In Phase I of the project (2016-2018), BUILD_ME supported six pilot projects (two projects each in Egypt, Jordan, and Lebanon).

Egypt

Porto Pyramids, launched in 2016, is a project built on the idea that we are living in a world characterised by changing lifestyles, busier schedules, and greater responsibilities. The site is minutes away from the airport and the new Egyptian National Museum. The project will offer 16 different residential unit types, a 5-star hotel, a spa and gym, swimming pools, and a clubhouse. The construction is ongoing.

Upscale Development Holding is planning a project 45 km south of Alexandria, North Egypt. The project will offer a neighbourhood for business, culture, family, university, and commercial purposes as well as a downtown area. The project is in its planning phase.

Jordan

The National Real Estate Company Jordan conceived a master plan consisting of a variety residential building types (villas, duplexes, and multifamily houses) north of Aqaba (North project). BUILD_ME’s analysis looked into the premier villa building type but considers the replicability of the recommended measures to the master plan’s other building types. The project is on hold.

The Al-Urwa Al-Whatqa Charity Association developed the Ea’tedal complex (multi-family house and mosque) in Zarqa, Jordan. The project serves as a home for orphans and widows and is almost complete.

Lebanon

The residence, located in Byblos (north of Beirut), is situated on the waterfront and offers chalets, apartments, and villas ranging from 70m² to 180m². The project is in the planning phase.

Dolmen Development started this project in Bhamdoun, 25 km southeast of Beirut. Situated at the Lamartine Hills, the residence offers 21 different types of apartments separated into four blocks. The project is in progress.
