Technica is an industrial facility for industrial machineary. The company facility houses mechanical, electrical and wood workshops, in addition to engineering and management offices.

Description

The facility relies on the EDL power grid and on a private diesel generator. With an objective to reduce the electric energy bills, two measures (LED lighting and PV system) are implemented. The goals of this project are to improve Technica'a competitiveness in the industrial market, provide a more environmental and sustainable facility, and reduce greenhouse gas emissions.

The object of this measure is to replace the CFL, Neon and incandescent lamps present in the facility with LED lighting system. This lighting upgrade will reduce the electricity demand from 45.8 kW to 19.8 kW (a reduction of 25.97 kW). This change will lead to annual savings of $15917.

Description
