Empowering women in sustainable construction

In April 2025, The Lebanese Center for Energy Conservation (LCEC) conducted an EPC Expert Training for Women Engineers as part of the BUILD_ME Project, in collaboration with the Order of Engineers and Architects of Beirut.
This training represents a significant milestone in Lebanon’s journey towards advancing the Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) scheme. Bringing together over 20 talented women engineers, the training aimed to equip them with the technical knowledge and practical skills necessary to assess building energy performance using the BEP Tool.
Participants engaged in interactive sessions that covered EPC processes, legal frameworks, and tool application. Upon passing the final evaluation, each participant will receive an EPC Expert Certificate, empowering them to contribute to Lebanon’s energy transition through transparent and standardised EPCs.
This initiative is part of Lebanon's broader strategy to mainstream energy efficiency and promote women’s leadership in the green economy. It builds on a series of successful EPC trainings across the country, highlighting the critical role women play in driving sustainable development.
We are proud to support and celebrate these women engineers as they lead the way in sustainable construction and energy efficiency. Congratulations to all!
